Tesco has issued a recall for their own-brand chocolate cake due to 'unsafe' ingredients.

A recent batch of the Finest Chocolate Cake has been recalled because some of the ingredients were not declared on the packaging. The batch was incorrectly packaged with carrot cake instead of chocolate cake. The carrot cake contains walnuts which are not declared on the chocolate cake label. A statement issued by Tesco said: "Today, 9 January, our supplier has identified a manufacturing error affecting a small number of Tesco Finest chocolate cake boxes, which were mistakenly packed with Tesco Finest carrot cake that contains walnuts. "This means the product poses a possible health risk to anyone with a nut allergy. "As a precautionary measure, we are recalling this batch code from customers. No other Tesco Finest products are known to be affected." The products will display the following information: Best Before: 17 January, 2018 Batch code: D32/18003 Pack size: Serves 6
