Nando’s has just launched halloumi fries onto its menu

James Dawson

They look delicious.

Nando’s has added a brand new menu item and it’s bound to get cheese lovers across the country excited.

As of tomorrow, ‘Halloumi Sticks & Dip’ are going to be available at the amphitheatre of cheeky banter, along with ‘Veggie Cataplana’.

If you’re wondering what exactly they are, well, the halloumi fries consist of five chunky sticks of halloumi, grilled until golden brown, and served with a pot of Nando’s sticky, sweet chilli jam for dipping.

While the Veggie Cataplana is Nando’s take on the many stew style dishes found around Portugal and South Africa. The dish consists of chargrilled veg, chickpeas and beans, in a fiery rich tomato and coconut sauce. Served on spicy rice and sprinkled with toasted coconut shavings.

The Halloumi Sticks will be priced at £3.70 and the Veggie Cataplana at £6.45.

I know where I’m heading on pay day.
