Burger King is now trying out one of the weirdest snacks ever

Mac n Cheetos anyone?

Burger King can’t help themselves right now.

The fast food outlet keeps finding more and more ways to shock and surprise us with options to enjoy their guilty pleasures

First came home delivery, then came the “Angry Whooper“, where hot sauce was baked into the bun. We thought they would stop there, but soon after Burger King started trying out serving beer to their Waterloo train station store.

So what’s next on their food innovation agenda? More chicken experiments? Not quite, the next step for Burger King is Mac & Cheetos…

Announced early this week, Mac & Cheetos are deep-fried macaroni and cheese sticks covered in cheetos breading.

Think of it like a portable mac & cheese, only packed into a giant Wotsit. Cheesy.

Mac N’ Cheetos will be rolled out in select Burger King stores in the United States from 27 June, costing $2.49 (about £1.70) for five sticks. Providing their cheesy experiment is successful, expect them to be sold worldwide.

“We’re working on a few other menu items,” said Burger King North American president Alex Macedo in an interview with Bloomberg  “There’s room for us to do more together in the future.”

Sounds promising. Don’t forget to release your Burger King grilled hotdogs in the UK too. Summer is a washout so we can ditch our workout plans now.
