Some things just sound too good to be true. Anything that tastes good and purports to be healthy. Likely bullshit. Anything offering you something for free on the internet. A scam. Any young footballer hyped up to be the next Messi or Ronaldo. I'll believe it when I see it.
So I can understand your hesitancy to believe me, really, when I tell you that you could be paid 20k to eat a burger. Because it just sounds a bit too good, doesn't it? "Twenty THOUSAND pounds, to eat a burger?" I hear you say in Peter Kay's voice. "Twenty THOUSAND pounds?"
But it's true. The CEO of Burger King, Alasdair Murdoch, says so himself.
They're launching a nationwide search to find the first person to try their new Crispy Chicken Burger. A burger that presumably will be really crispy and really chicken-y.
They say they're looking for "an open-minded individual to take the colossal leap of faith", although given the incentive I'm not sure any of the applicants will need much persuasion to try it.
To enter you need to post a video of yourself eating and giving a review of an imaginary Crispy Chicken burger, using #BK20Kbite on Twitter, Instagram, or putting it on Burger King's Facebook page. If you win you'll also get to appear in the company's coming advertising campaign.
As a Starter For 10, my go-to review would be a recreation of the Big Kahuna burger scene from Pulp Fiction- "Ummm, this is a tasty Crispy Chicken Burger!" But that's just me, maybe you can think of something better.
