The future is here
Discount supermarket chain Aldi is bringing back its garlic bread-flavoured crisps – much to the delight of snack enthusiasts on social media.
First introduced last year, the supermarket confirmed their return to shelves alongside the Specially Selected ‘Nduja Spice crisps as part of their Italian range.
The concoction, priced at just £1.15 for a 150g bag, will hit shelves on Sunday 19th May.
Packed full of fin-gar-lickin’ good flavour, shoppers will be hit with the delicious taste of smoky garlic, whilst experiencing the hearty crunch of Aldi’s premium Specially Selected crinkle cut crisp style.
Their initial launch last year caused quite a stir on social media, with one post on Facebook gaining over 9,000 comments already and rising.
One shopper commented “need these in my life”, with another expressing “what in the actual!!!“
Other obvious references to the classic Peter Kay sketch have been made too.
But not everyone was convinced by the crisp flavour.
“They probably just taste like garlic butter cuz how they would taste like bread”, one person commented, which is probably fair.
