NFL star Odell Beckham Jr’s cousin is an absolute beast in the gym

Ben Kenyon

It’s no wonder top NFL teams have been looking at Terron Beckham.

First of all he’s the cousin of New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. But same surnames aside, it turns out Terron is an absolute beast in his own right.

The personal trainer and model has not played American football since high school but he was spotted nailing some ridiculous 44in box jumps on one of the stands at a fitness expo.

His explosive power and athletic ability turned some heads and got him a rookie trial with the New York Jets.

They put him through some NFL fitness standard tests and he posted some freakish results, according to CBS Sports.

He benched 225lbs a total of 36 times, then ran the 40-yard dash in 4.47 seconds and also posted a 44.5-inch vertical leap.

The 23-year-old’s bench and vertical jump would have been among the top numbers of any player at the famous NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, the NFL’s annual workout for new players entering the league.

It’s not surprising why he’s such a machine when you see some of the stuff this guy is doing in the gym…

We would NOT advise anyone trying to do a box jump with a 315lbs barbell on your back. It’s not even a proper box FFS, it’s a padded bench.

But the raw explosive power of the man is incredible. Like really incredible…

We repeat: don’t try any of this at home…or the gym. Any mere mortal trying to jump off their knees into a squat with a heavy barbell would surely be crushed like a can of Lilt.

It’s not just explosive power either. Terron has an incredible strength base which he isn’t shy of demonstrating on Instagram.

Squatting 380lbs on his back just gripping the bar with his Hulk-like lats is nothing to him…

He is human though, as this failed 700lb deadlift attests…

Given his incredible strength, condition, athletic ability and just his incredible body composition has meant Beckham has had to deal with steroid questions, according AP.

But he countered any suggestions of PED use saying:

“That’s something that’s not new to me. It’s tough because I work so hard. I worked that hard all my life. And you can’t just change people’s minds.

“If they feel like, ‘What you look like or what you do, you can’t do that without having whatever substances,’ it’s crazy.

“All I have to say is that I’m here, and they’ve done their tests or whatever. I’m cool. I’ve never had to do anything, and I’m fine.

“I have great genetics. I work hard. And that’s all I have to say about that.”

The Jets didn’t offer him a contract, but Terron is still hopeful of making it in the NFL.
