The ad is for Japanese fitness product 'Sixpad' - described by its creators as a form of wearable training gear that uses Electrical Muscle Stimulation, "a technology that uses electrical signals to directly stimulate and exercise the muscles".
In the ad, the footballer holds a product that looks like something Kick-Ass would wear as part of his superhero costume.
Beyond that, the campaign essentially seems like an excuse for the Portugal international to stand around in his underwear, something he seems to revel in.
