Finally, Leonardo DiCaprio has his Oscar.
Following previous unsuccessful nominations, DiCaprio’s performance in The Revenant was enough to see him pick up the award on Sunday night.
The actor used his lengthy acceptance speech, which can be viewed below, to deliver a message about climate change.
“Making The Revenant was about man’s relationship to the natural world…climate change is real,” DiCaprio explained.
“It is happening right now. It is the most urgent threat facing our entire species and we need to work collectively together and stop procrastinating.”
