The superb Oasis documentary Supersonic is on TV this week

Essential for all Oasis fans.

With the news that the Gallagher brothers are on decent terms ahead of Christmas, Oasis fans have been given another little present over the festive period. Directed by Mat Whitecross, Supersonic is the rags-to-riches story about ignoring industry indifference to reap the ultimate rewards… and then some. We're massive fans of the documentary - you can read our deep-dive here - but if you haven't seen it yet then you're in for a real treat. Charting the rise and rise and rise of Oasis, the film captures some incredible anecdotes and gigs of the Gallagher brothers at their very best. Truth be told, the stories about them snorting crystal meth before a live show and how they got thrown off a ferry en route to Amsterdam are absolute gold. Aside from the sex, drugs and rock 'n roll, there are also some moments that truly captured the brilliance of the band. Noel's story about how long it took him to record Supersonic is a testament to his skill as a musician while the story about how Talk Tonight came into creation shows a completely different side to the gifted guitarist. With a sequel being mentioned, Supersonic is an essential watch for anyone that lived through the Britpop era. With a rating of 83% on Rotten Tomatoes, you definitely should definitely "take the time to make some sense, Of what you want to" watch next week.
