How to catch the rarest Pokemon in the wild and which Pokemon are most effective against the ones you’re fighting are just some of the tips that will up your game.
But if you want to wipe the floor with every other trainer around, it’s handy to know which are the best Pokemon to do battle with.
Every Pokemon has it’s pros and cons if you’re going to send them into battle, but there are some that are head and shoulders stronger, tougher and more powerful than the rest.
The Bit Bag has come up with a list of the top 10 strongest creatures on the game – and you’re going to want to get your hands on them any way you can.
The site lists the 10 best battling Pokemon as follows…
10 – Venusaur
The final evolved form of Bulbasaur, this comes in as the 10th strongest Pokemon on the game.This beefed up Grass/Poison Pokemon has an incredibly high defensive stat and while it hasn’t got the greatest stamina in the world, its attacking capabilities are pretty good too.
9 – Slowbro
Don’t be fooled by the name, this is one hell of a Pokemon. It’s not too dissimilar to Venusaur with a hardcore defence stat and very good attack capabilities. But it has the upper hand on the evolved Bulbasaur with superior stamina, according to The Bit Bag.

8 – Vaporeon
Out of the three Eevee evolutions, Vapereon is the strongest compared to Jolteon and Flareon. While it doesn’t appear there’s a surefire way to control which form it takes, you definitely want this one because of its superior balance of attack, defence and stamina.
7 – Gyrados
Yes it’s a massive effort to evolve Magikarp and yes it takes a ton of Candy to do so, but it’s well worth it. The final evolved form of the glorified goldfish is one of the strongest battling Pokemon on the game.

6 – Exeggutor
It might look daft, but this Grass/Psychic Pokemon is one tough customer. The final evolved form of Exeggcute is pretty powerful with its very high attack rating. It’s particularly strong against Water, Rock and Ground Pokemon and is pretty handy of you come up against the likes of Vaporeon.
5 – Blastoise
This was always going to come up in the top 10 strongest Pokemon on the game. It has the highest defence rating out of every Pokemon on the game. The evolved Squirtle has serious attacking ratings too.

4 – Arcanine
Arcanine is a great all-rounder, with a high attack and defence rating. It just falls short of the top three because of its slightly questionable stamina, says The Bit Bag.
3 – Lapras
If you want one of the top strongest Pokemon in the game, get yourself a Lapras. It’s brilliant attack, defence and stamina ratings put it among the game’s elite battlers.

2 – Snorlax
It may not be the most rock ‘n’ roll Pokemon in the world, but never underestimate this sleeping giant. You only have to look at its rating to see how strong it really is.
1 – Dragonite
You need this Pokemon in your arsenal. its ratings tell you everything you need to know. Very high in attack and defence, The Bit Bag says that only the legendary MewTwo is stronger in the game.
