The news was announced in the most Guy Ritchie way.
After the huge success of season one, Netflix have announced that The Gentlemen will return for a second season.
The news was revealed via a gigantic billboard which appeared on a street near London Bridge this week with an enormous joint obscuring the full message.
As this burned down, the message “roll on season 2” was eventually revealed, confirming the gangster drama about a burgeoning weed empire would be back for new episodes.
Netflix UK & Ireland confirmed the news with a post on X this afternoon, writing: “Roll on Season 2 of The Gentlemen. Filming is due to kick off in 2025!”

Season one of the crime drama dropped on Netflix in March of this year, and received a rating of 87% on Rotten Tomatoes.
It featured a star-studded cast which included Theo James (The White Lotus), Kaya Scodelario (Skins), Vinnie Jones (The Football Factory) and Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad).
All of these are expected to return for the second season, although no cast information has been announced as of yet.
Fans reacted with a lot of positivity to the news on social media.
One person wrote: “The Gentlemen for Season 2, because apparently, Theo James’ charm is too powerful to be contained in just one season.”

The show is set in the same universe as Ritchie’s 2019 film The Gentlemen, which starred Charlie Hunnam, Matthew McConaughey, Colin Farrell and Jeremy Strong, but does not have any overlapping characters.
