A terminally ill Star Wars fan has died, not long after being granted his final wish to see the upcoming film.

Daniel Fleetwood was given two months to live in July after being diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. The 32-year-old Texan's dying wish was to see the upcoming Star Wars: The Force Awakens - due to be released in mid December. Using the power of social media, the hashtag #forcefordaniel was created and helped spread his story across the world. When it eventually reached the films makers - Lucasfilm - Daniel was given a special screening at his house. Sadly he has since died, with the news being shared by his wife Ashley on her Facebook page. fb star wars There were plenty of people mourning his loss on social media after the news of his death broke. https://twitter.com/Masked_Demon/status/664022301042720768?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw https://twitter.com/MechGingeneer/status/664116094030888960
