But former fans contend that "they didn't suck so much as they were just ~generic~". And, surprisingly enough, research actually agrees. Salli Anttonnen, a Finnish student and self-confessed former Nickelback fan, decided to take a scientific approach to figuring out why everybody hates the band so much. After her research, she concluded that – in short – the band lacks a “sincere identity". Her study reads: "Nickelback is too much of everything to be enough of something...
