A new trailer for the upcoming docu-series on the takeover of Wrexham AFC by Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney has landed - and comes with a strong It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia theme.
Welcome to Wrexham will be released in 2022 on US network FX, though it is not yet clear when it will reach the UK.
The two actors purchased the club last year, and the series will follow them through the acquisition process and beyond as they learn what it takes to own a football/soccer club.
It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia, which McElhenney created and stars in, recently returned for its fifteenth season. The new trailer features the sitcom's cast and their Wrexham equivalents, who have gathered in The Turf pub, located on the corner of the club's Racecourse Ground.
Reynolds and McElhenney filmed the trailer during their recent visit to the club, and can be seen having a couple of pints together towards the end of it.

The pair's first visit to Wales had been delayed by the pandemic, but they were finally able to watch their club in action for the first time in their away defeat to Maidenhead in October.
They were also able to use their visit as an opportunity to familiarise themselves with the local culture and were spotted in a couple of pubs.
