Male model Ricki Hall faced a barrage of mockery and criticism for claiming that homeless people inspire his look...

The model, who is famed for his hipster tattoos and hipster beard and hipster style - but doesn't like being referred to as a hipster - was interviewed for a Sunday Times feature called 'A Life in the Day of model hipster, Ricki Hall'. Hall is quoted as saying: "I use this time to think about my day. I take style tips from everything, even kids to homeless people. They can pull anything together and it just works." His words echo those of Zoolander's Mugatu, who creates a fashion label "inspired by the very homeless, the vagrants, the crack whores that make this wonderful city so unique." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mVscQYjuq_s Twitter was on wonderful form in lampooning the pomposity and insensitivity of the quotes: https://twitter.com/NivenJ1/status/609991593475604480 https://twitter.com/cordeliajane/status/610010846031384576 https://twitter.com/belledejour_uk/status/610025628411240448 https://twitter.com/DexySmiths/status/610035427030999040
