Not a single person bet on Matt LeBlanc to join Top Gear

Here's what you could have won...

We knew Matt LeBlanc joining Top Gear was a shock, but we didn’t realise it was this much of a long-shot.

Apparently not a single person bet on the actor to join Chris Evans on the BBC show – which means no one took advantage of the huge 500/1 odds.

Bookmakers William Hill revealed that if one person had backed the Friends star to come on board, those are the odds they would have offered, but no one saw it coming.

At 500/1 it only takes £2000 to rack up a million pound payout– so we are thanking our lucky stars that news did not leak as the industry could have been hit by six or even seven figure liabilities,” William Hill spokesman Rupert Adams said.

Can lightning strike twice? According to The Independent, the bookies are offering 100/1 odds on LeBlanc being joined by Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox or Lisa Kudrow, his Friends co-stars.
