Netflix announce release date for new Marvel spin-off, Luke Cage

Fans of Jessica Jones can officially start getting excited.

Netflix have confirmed the release date for Luke Cage, a spin-off series based on Mike Colter's portrayal of Cage in the popular Netflix series Jessica Jones. Set to hit our screens on September 30, Luke Cage will follow the story of a man with unbreakable skin, living in Harlem, New York as he tries to rebuild his life. It will be the continuation of a partnership between Marvel and Netflix, which has already brought about highly-rated shows such as the previously mentioned Jessica Jones series and the hugely popular Daredevil.
