Yes, that's right, apparently, Jacko would find it really amusing whenever his legendary music peer had a rubbish gig.
The hitmaker - who died of acute Propofol intoxication - took great delight in watching his chart rival "falling as flat as he could" and even showed the clips to visitors at his Neverland ranch.
L.A. Reid's book 'Sing To Me' remembers a time when he and Kenneth 'Babyface' Edmonds visited the star at his home.
After a tour of the house, they were taken to a screening room. The book says how 'Michael put on footage of a 1983 James Brown concert where he was called on stage as a guest and "danced a few steps", before his rival was also asked to join the singer.'
Reid recalled: "Prince [couldn't] make his guitar work, frantically stripping off his shirt and trying tricks with the microphone stand and making all these poses. After Michael's dazzling star turn, Prince fell as flat as he could, and Michael enjoyed laughing at the video."
And the star wasn't content with just one clip.
The producer added: "After that, he put on a scene from Prince's movie 'Under The Cherry Moon,' the artsy black-and-white bomb he made after 'Purple Rain,' and he laughed some more at Prince."
