Macaulay Culkin has become a father, it has been announced

The Home Alone star and his partner, Brenda Song, have welcomed their first baby boy into the world.

The loved-up couple first met while working on the Comedy-drama film Changeland a few years back.

Their first child has been named after Culkin’s sister, Dakota, who sadly died in 2018 after being tragically hit by a car in Los Angeles in 2008.

Their newborn son, Dakota Song Culkin, whose name pays tribute to Calkin’s late sibling, was born last week on April 5 in Los Angeles, as reported by Esquire.

Culkin and Song told told Esquire: “We’re overjoyed.”

Last year, Culkin spoke to Esquire about a cover story and discussed parenting at length.

He said, jokingly: “We practice a lot.”

“We’re figuring it out, making the timing work. Because nothing turns you on more than when your lady comes into the room and says, ‘Honey, I’m ovulating’.”

Song, who has over 1.8 million followers on Instagram, posted an emotional statement about her husband on his birthday last August.

She said on the platform: “I could sit here and write endlessly about how wonderful, kind, loving, genuine, loyal, honest, brilliant and hilarious you are, and how grateful I am that I get to share and do this life thing with you. But firstly, that would take me an eternity and secondly, you won’t even see this because you don’t ever use instagram.”

She continued: “My unicorn that I never thought could exist, I am luckiest person in the world because I am loved by you.”
