John Oliver’s take on Donald Trump’s sexist comments is just what we’ve waited for

Carl Kinsella

There are very few figures in the media who didn’t immediately make their displeasure known after hearing Donald Trump’s controversial comments last Friday evening.

Just about the entire world recoiled in horror upon hearing the old New Yorker (who is still running for President of the United States) say things like “When you’re a star they just let you. You can do whatever you want. Grab ’em by the pussy.”

Sadly for a certain Mr John Oliver, he had to wait until the latest instalment of his show Last Week Tonight before putting Trump on blast for the lascivious and sexually aggressive remarks, with particular venom reserved for Republicans who denounced Trump after the footage came to light.

Oliver is of the opinion while Trump is a captain sinking with his ship, all of the sailors who decided to put him in charge must also bear the burden of his disastrous candidacy.

Former Republican Presidential candidate John McCain went so far as to release a statement saying that Donald Trump alone must bear the burden of his words from 2005, to which Oliver shot back “[Trump] alone does not bear the burden of his conduct, because he alone did not make himself your party’s nominee.”
