Idris Elba and Damon Albarn join the New Year Honours list...
Well, someone at Buckingham Palace likes Blur and Luther...
Idris Elba and Damon Albarn have made the New Year Honours list and will both receive OBEs.
Luther Elba is being recognised for his services to drama, while Albarn receives his for services to music.
Idris, who will appear in Star Trek: Beyond next year, described the honour as 'beyond special'.
Elba said: 'Award and honours come in all shapes and sizes and all as significant as the other. But this is beyond special as it comes from Queen and country, and I couldn’t be more proud for receiving this right now. What a year. On me head son!'
Albarn, who famously refused to go to a reception held by Tony Blair at Number 10, is yet to comment.
