He became emotional as he discussed the upcoming blockbuster.

Harrison Ford choked up with tears as he introduced the trailer for the as-of-yet-untitled fifth Indiana Jones movie, his final outing as the archaeology action man.

The teaser, which has not yet hit the web, was unveiled during Disney’s D23 Expo where Ford and his co-star in the film Pheobe Waller-Bridge made an appearance.

Visibly emotional, Ford told the crowd: “Thank you for making these films such an incredible experience for all of us.

“I’m very proud to say that this one is fantastic.

“This is one of the reasons,” he added while pointing at Waller-Bridge.

“Indiana Jones movies are about mystery and adventure and they’re also about heart,” he continued.

“I’m really really happy that we have a really human story to tell, as well as a movie that will kick your ass.”

The 80-year-old also confirmed that this will be his last outing as the character.

He told the crowd: “This is it. I will not fall down for you again.”

Ford first appeared as Indiana Jones in 1981’s Raiders of the Lost Ark, before reprising his role in three sequels – the last of which was released in 2008.

The upcoming movie is the first in the franchise not to be directed by Steven Spielberg, with Ford v Ferrari and Logan filmmaker James Mangold helming the blockbuster.

Alongside Ford and Waller-Bridge, Indiana Jones 5 will co-star Antonio Banderas, Boyd Holbrook, John Rhys-Davies, Mads Mikkelsen, Shaunette Renée Wilson, Thomas Kretschmann and Toby Jones.

According to reports from the D23 Expo, the short trailer for the movie featured multiple action sequences, including one in which Indiana Jones rides a horse through New York City and onto the tracks of its subway.
