This is grim.

Occasionally in life we all hit a rough patch. We will turn our underwear inside out to get that extra day's wear when we have loads of washing we can't be arsed to do. We will, at some point, wear the same outfit over and over again because we just don't care anymore. And we want the world to know that. We want the world to know exactly how little we care. This is fine. This is human. It happens. It's a bit gross. But it happens. Observant Eastenders viewers have spotted Max Branning, played by Jake Wood, undergoing a similar stagnation, but it appears he hasn't changed his clothes since Christmas. CHRISTMAS. That's too long, Max. That's way too long mate. Your mother is fuming. Let us voyage now through time, and Max Branning's extremely malnourished wardrobe, to see for ourselves. We begin at Christmas Day. [caption id="attachment_163251" align="alignnone" width="960"] Image credit BBC[/caption] Essentially all the episodes in between he looked like this. The exact same, but moodier, as demonstrated by the hood now covering his head. [caption id="attachment_163243" align="alignnone" width="960"] Image credit BBC[/caption] Last night. Maybe he just really loves that jacket? I'm not sure why he loves it, but still. [caption id="attachment_163250" align="alignnone" width="653"] Image credit BBC[/caption] Yes, it appears to be true, it appears he hasn't changed his clothes at all. This is very, extremely not advisable if you want to do things like have friends, leave the house, or even pet the cat. That cat won't go near you mate. And cats like garbage. "Roadman chic" is a versatile, consistent look, that much is true, but I would not recommend wearing it every single day for almost a month. You should not be doing that. Under any circumstances. In fairness to Max, he has been through a lot recently. He's been released from prison, tried to commit suicide, and seen his daughter die. It appears, however, even this isn't enough for sympathy from some viewers, who took to social media to tell him he might feel better if he got changed. Whilst I don't think it will help him get over the loss of daughter, a spicy new fedora, some fresh brogues or even a single item of clothing that isn't navy might help cheer him up, at least for a little bit. https://twitter.com/ktscoot88/status/963496203336994816?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.thesun.co.uk%2Ftvandshowbiz%2F5592179%2Feastenders-fans-spot-max-branning-is-still-wearing-the-same-manky-coat-and-jeans-hes-been-in-since-christmas%2F https://twitter.com/MrJonesIV/status/952995235063320578 https://twitter.com/fomodan/status/954127266598080513 https://twitter.com/MrJonesIV/status/963143690301485056 https://twitter.com/Chloedubrava_/status/963501855354572800
