Followers of the grand old Beeb soap dutifully tuned in to see the latest goings-on around Albert Square only to find it wasn't on.
The show had been dropped and the decks had been cleared so the BBC could air the evening game between Italy and Belgium, which ended with a 2-0 win for the Azurri.
Yes there's a high-profile European football tournament on, but the EastEnders faithful were not in a forgiving mood - not when things with homicidal little shit Bobby Beale have been hotting up.
They didn't react well to clicking on the box to see a lacklustre Belgium wilt against the evergreen Italians...
