Dara O Briain and Angela Scanlon will host the new reboot of Robot Wars on BBC Two, it was confirmed on Wednesday.
The pair will be joined by Jonathan Pearce, who will return as commentator having provided a voice-over for the original series.
The six-part series will be filmed in a purpose-built arena in Glasgow, which the BBC promise will 'allow viewers to get even closer to the action' through numerous camera angles.

O Briain, who will be well-known to BBC viewers from hosting Mock the Week, said: "I am thrilled to be presenting Robot Wars.
"For too long, the schedules have cried out for a show in which dedicated amateurs, toiling day and night, handcraft sophisticated automatons built on the delicate interplay of hand-wired servo motors with custom-built circuit boards and fingertip motion control, just to see them get smashed to pieces by a dustbin carrying a massive hammer. It's war, and how I love it so."
We can't wait.
