It's great to have her back

The actress who played Rosie Webster on the show, has recently decided to reprise her role.

Coronation Street is a show full of individual characters, with many scandalous and coloured storylines being played out on the cobbles of Weatherfield every week.

One of the most memorable characters to grace The Rovers Return had to be model and known troublemaker Rosie Webster.

The daughter to Sally and Kevin left the soap five years ago to pursue a better life in Miami, but it looks like the character of Rosie is pining for home.

Actress Helen Flanagan, who plays the role of Rosie spoke to Mirror about her decision to return to the long-running soap, saying that having her daughter Matilda put things into perspective for her.

“When I left, I wasn’t too sure what I wanted to do. I just knew I wanted to have a break…I was 21 and I’m 26 now, so it’s completely different.

“I’ve matured and I’ve got a little girl, which makes you grow up a lot. I see it completely differently now I’ve come back.

“When I was younger I enjoyed it but didn’t really appreciate what a good job I had. When you go away for a while it can make you really appreciate it.”

The actress said she feels much more mature having had a child, and is ready to dedicate herself to acting:

“I think motherhood matures you and makes you a happier person. I absolutely love being a mum, it’s nice to come home from work and see them all excited.

“I think motherhood gives you a purpose. I’m a lot happier now.”

Could this mean Rosie is back on the cobbles for good? We’ll have to wait and see.
