There’s also been a very exciting update on future seasons

With Dune: Part Two being 2024’s biggest movie by some distance, people are only now catching on to underseen gem Silo, starring one of the movie’s main actors.

Streaming on Apple TV+, Silo stars Rebecca Ferguson (Lady Jessica) and is set in a post-apocalyptic future where a community exists in a giant underground silo and are unable to go outside.

Ferguson plays an unassuming engineer, who works deep in the bowels of the silo and becomes embroiled in the mystery of how the building came into existence.

While Silo came out in 2023, the show has been given a big bump in recognition since Dune: Part Two’s release, and viewers are having an absolute blast watching it.

One viewer said: “just finished Silo (because of Rebecca Ferguson) and I wasn’t expecting to like it this much, this show is incredible and I can’t wait for S2.”

Another added: “If you like the new Fallout series on Amazon you should also watch the Silo series with Rebecca Ferguson on Apple TV Plus.”

A third added: “I really hope all the love for Rebecca Ferguson because of Dune leads more people to watch Silo!”

The first season of Silo dropped to critical acclaim, with critics praising Ferguson’s leading role, as well as the series’ world-building and production design.

Based on the trilogy of books by by author Hugh Howey, a second season of Silo was greenlit off the success of the first and, in a new interview, Ferguson has given even more details on future seasons to come.

Silo is planned to stretch the three-book series across four seasons, with Ferguson noting that they’ve already got an ending in sight.

Speaking to Collider, the Swedish actress said: “I believe that the show has an ending, and I know when that is.

“To be honest, I don’t think it’s a secret. The books are the books. It’s three books, and the three books are divided into four seasons. So I believe, unless any Apple person is gonna jump on, I think we’re absolutely fine with saying Season 1, we’ve done.

“Season 2 is shot and coming out, and we’re now looking at green-lighting Seasons 3 and 4. And I think we would film them maybe together, and that would be the end.”

The choice to film the final two seasons of Silo, according to Ferguson, is to “give the people what they want to get so we don’t have too much of a gap.”

No firm date has been given for the second season, but with Ferguson also confirming that it has been shot already, there shouldn’t be too much a wait for fans new and old.

You can watch the first season of Silo on Apple TV+ now.
