The brilliant Woody Harrelson has been cast in the Han Solo film

Star Wars fans will be in for a treat.

If you’re going to stand toe-to-toe with the most popular character in the galaxy, and everyone’s favorite Wookie, you better be cool. Really cool. Like, cooler than the coldest winter on Hoth.

With this in mind, we’re delighted to say that the brilliant Woody Harrelson has been cast in the upcoming Han Solo movie that’s set to arrive in cinemas next year.

Yes, that’s right. Roy Munson will meet the galaxy’s biggest scoundrel.

Harrelson, known for wide-ranging roles in film and TV such as The Hunger Games, No Country For Old Men, True Detective, Cheers, and Zombieland, will join Alden Ehrenreich (Han Solo), Donald Glover (Lando Calrissian), and Emilia Clarke in the adventure.

This Star Wars Story is the second in a series of films that live outside the Skywalker family saga, and is set during the early days of the iconic characters, prior to A New Hope.

“We couldn’t be more excited to work with an artist with as much depth and range as Woody,” said the film’s directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller. “His ability to find both humor and pathos, often in the same role, is truly unique. He is also very good at ping pong.

While details about Harrelson’s character haven’t been revealed yet, we really hope that he has something to do with the bet that saw Han win the Millenium Falcon from Lando.

After all, Roy Munson was an epic swindler in Kingpin and nothing bad ever happened to him. Oh yeah…
