Bonnie Blue criticises police after six officers check her ‘Bang Bus’

She says the police response was excessive

The adult entertainer was stopped while officers checked whether the vehicle was properly insured.

She was also ordered to leave the city centre following allegations that she had been causing distress and engaging in anti-social behaviour.

Bonnie, 27, has since criticised the size of the police response, pointing to West Yorkshire Police's description of Leeds city centre as a “crime hotspot”.

In a statement, she said: “The police are always talking about the pressures they’re under and then you’ve got six officers surrounding me and the Bang Bus checking the insurance, with even more turning up afterwards.

“Surely there has to be a question about whether that’s a sensible use of police resources?”

She claimed she was not concerned by the officers and continued to joke with them during the encounter.

“I wasn’t fazed by them. I even offered the boys in blue a Fansly consent form and asked whether they wanted to give me an inspection, seeing as apparently the six week rule doesn’t apply to me.

“I had no problem bending over in front of them either. They didn’t seem quite as amused as I was.”

'Where was this distress?'

Bonnie also disputed the suggestion that her presence had caused distress among people in the area.

“I’ve been told I was causing distress, but where was this distress? The students I met were loving it and I’ve got the videos to show that,” she said.

She added that she had no issue with officers carrying out checks if they believed they were necessary.

“I’m not saying the police shouldn’t stop someone if they think something needs checking. Check the insurance, do what you’ve got to do and send me on my way.

“But did it really need six officers and then more turning up?”
