The actor previously made the allegation back in 2020

Amber Heard has once again alleged that Johnny Depp pushed Kate Moss down the stairs during an incident in the 90s.

Speaking during her week of testimony, which featured some harrowing details regarding Depp’s alleged abuse, Heard came on to the subject of the actor’s alleged abuse of her sister, Whitney, claiming that she was hit when trying to intervene during a fight between the former couple.

Taking the stand on Thursday, Heard said her sister instantly “threw herself in the line of fire” whilst “trying to get Johnny to stop” during a fight in 2015, adding that, “her back was to the staircase, and Johnny swings at her… I don’t hesitate and wait, I instantly think of Kate Moss and stairs.”

Heard previously accused Depp of pushing the English model down the stairs while the two were dating between 1994 and 1998. The claim was made as part of the original UK libel trial against The Sun, who labelled the Pirates of the Caribbean star a “wife-beater” following an op-ed in the New York Times.

Speaking at the time, she said: “He pushed Kate Moss down the stairs, I heard this from two people, and this was fresh in my mind”.

Depp has denied these claims and while an argument in a NYC hotel room has been widely reported – with the actor having to pay an estimated $10,000 in damages after criminal charges were dropped during the altercation – neither of the two has ever confirmed the rumour regarding the staircase.

Meanwhile, Heard is denying claims of assault by her, only admitting to having “hit him back” in self-defence.

Due to a prior engagement in the judge’s schedule, the pair’s high-profile and long-running trial has been put on hold for a week and proceedings will resume on May 16; it is set to conclude three days later.
