Police arrived to find four people covered in blood

After murdering a father-of-three because he was making too much noise, a blood-soaked killer told the police that "killing people isn't always a bad thing." Jamie Crosbie, 48, stabbed neighbour Dean Allsop in April 2021 because he was annoyed by the sound of his revving bike. The 41-year-old dad was stabbed 17 times outside of his property on Thorpe St, Norfolk, with police calling the scene "carnage." Allsop and his teenage sons had been working on their bikes, at which point Crosbie appeared in the window making obscene gestures. Via SWNS[/caption] Norwich Crown Court heard how Allsop immediately phoned the police and told the phone operator that he was being threatened with a weapon. The father told his kids to go inside, with one son going to arm himself. By the time he returned, a knife in hand, his dad was seriously injured and covered in blood. Crosbie is said to have turned his attention to the teenager, suffering injuries to his head and hand after attacking him. The boy attempted to get help, with Crosbie returning to his home for a moment. The nasty neighbour returned moments later, stabbing a motionless Allsop once more before being confronted by Allsop's partner Louise Newell and another neighbour. Newell, who is said to be in her 40s, suffered a serious stab wound to the chest and a deep cut on her head. The other unnamed neighbour was also stabbed in the neck and suffered an arterial bleed. "That's a good thing, I'm very happy about that, killing people isn't always a bad thing," Crosbie told officers during his arrest. Crosbie denied all charges of murder and pleaded guilty to manslaughter by diminished capacity but was found guilty of wounding with intent and murder.

"This was a cold-blooded attack by a man intent on causing extreme harm to others," said Senior investigating officer Detective Chief Inspector Phill Gray. "Dean suffered 17 stab wounds to his body, some of which were inflicted when he was lying face-down and motionless." He added: "Crosbie is an extremely violent man who has no place in society, and we welcome the jury's verdict today." "I cannot put into words how this has affected our whole family," Newell said in a statement. "My children have lost their hero and I have lost my chosen person - the person I chose to spend my life with." She added: "My best friend, soulmate, my first love. Our lives will never be the same without Dean, but we will continue to keep his memory alive." Crosbie will be sentenced sometime in the future.
