The Simpsons have been on many adventures in their 241 years on TV
Throughout the years, Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie, erstwhile known as The Simpsons have travelled overseas on a number of occasions.
Particularly as the series got older and ran out of good ideas outgrew Springfield, the first family of television have been to Japan, the United Kingdom, Ireland and Brazil, to name a few.
But in the show's very first season, Bart alone travelled overseas on a student exchange trip to France. There he enjoyed a mixed bag of lazy stereotypes and weird accents.
It's not exactly a classic episode - the show didn't get really good until the next season - but it is fondly remembered, by some at least. We got a French person, who is used to watching the show dubbed into her native tongue, to judge it for us.
