Since then, Daley has fought a remarkable 21 times and has improved his finish rate to 29 knockouts in 55 bouts. Meanwhile, Koscheck had a way worse run of form. After suffering the inevitable loss to GSP, he retired legendary fighter Matt Hughes with a vicious first-round knock out, scored a split decision win over Mike Pierce and then proceeded to lose his next six bouts in a row.
The 39-year-old's promotional debut at Bellator 172 ended in particularly brutal fashion with underdog Mauricio Alonso putting him away with ease in the first round. He was awarded the TKO victory at the 4:42 mark of the opening frame.
The result means Koscheck is without a win since 2012 and that money fight against Daley seems to have lost it's lustre now as 'Semtex' focuses on welcoming Rory MacDonald to the promotion in London.
