The Dubliner said he would beat Mayweather in seconds in a street fight - because 'when you don’t know how to grapple you don’t stand a chance.'
'I would knock him out cold,' he crowed.
But McGregor now says he would be open to discussions to fight Mayweather in a boxing ring rather than the octagon.
MMA journalist Gareth Davies reckons it would be a billion-dollar fight - numbers that will probably be ringing in McGregor's ears.
