Joshua's promoter Hearn is already eyeing a world title shot for the former Olympian in 2016 - so it could happen sooner than everyone thinks.
With Joshua's next opponent due to be announced in early February and people are already speculating who could be in line to fight him on April 9.
With David Haye making an emphatic comeback against Mark De Mori, fans would love to see him given a shot at Joshua.
While it would be a spectacular fight for British boxing fans, Fury believes it would be a stupid move to risk his unbeaten record against a big puncher like Haye.
"I think it can happen if Eddie Hearn wants it to," said Fury. "I think either can win if they land first.
"I think Joshua is a bit of a novice and struggled with Dillian Whyte. If Haye catches him early, it's goodnight. It's curtains.
