Ngannou faces Fury this weekend
Francis Ngannou was given a pleasant surprise courtesy of Cristiano Ronaldo ahead of his upcoming fight against Tyson Fury this weekend.
The former UFC star will take on the Gypsy King in a 10-round bout as the Cameroonian makes his professional boxing debut in Saudi Arabia.
Fighting in the Gulf State means that the fight is likely to attract some of the huge footballing names that have made the move to Saudi Arabia, including Ronaldo.
He and Ngannou have forged a strong friendship and have been pictured together before.
Ahead of his fight, Ronaldo sent a gift along to Ngannou. The former UFC man shared the present on his Instagram – an expensive watch that is reportedly worth over £100k.
Ngannou, visibly surprised by the kind gesture, then explained how the two became friends, stating that Ronaldo was emphasising the importance of football in Saudi Arabia around the globe.
Fight fans don’t have long to wait until the hotly-anticipated bout between Fury and Ngannou takes place, with the ring walk expected to start at 10pm UK time on Saturday night.
