Robert Lewandowski agrees move and is set to leave Bayern Munich at the end of the season

Robert Lewandowski's manager, Pini Zahavi, has come to an agreement with Real Madrid over his client moving to Los Blancos at the end of the season, as reported by Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo. The news comes after only two meetings between the Israeli agent and Madrid President Fiorentino Perez's right hand man at the club, José Ángel Sánchez. Bayern Munich, of course, will still need to accept an offer for the striker, but is widely believed he will be available come the end of their current campaign. Lewandowski appointed Zahavi only weeks ago in the hope of securing a big move and one final bumper contract, despite previously renewing with the Bavarian giants until 2021. He is, however, 29, and has long been interested in a move to the Bernabeu after innumerable meetings between the club and his former agent Cesary Kucharski, whom he employed for ten years. Whilst other clubs such as Manchester United, Chelsea and Paris Saint Germain were reportedly in negotiations for the Polish striker, it appears that, as so often is the case, Madrid will be getting their man. Well, their man until Neymar and Harry Kane are available, if the rumours are to be believed. Lewandowsi is believed to be the preferred option at this stage as he is considerably far more affordable than the Spurs hitman and the mercurial Brazilian, who only joined PSG this summer. He is also a proven goalscorer, both at club and international level, notching an impressive 51 goals in 91 appearances for Poland, and 174 goals in the Bundesliga to date, after only 252 appearances. The move will likely spell the end of Cristiano Ronaldo's preferred attacking partner Karim Benzema's time at Real, who has been at the club since 2009, and could even impact on Gareth Bale's future, who could be used to balance the books (only as much as Madrid need to, of course) and has long been rumoured to return to the Premier League.
