Reece James was shown a red card seconds after England lost their UEFA Nations League game with Denmark on Wednesday night. Denmark won the game thanks to a Christian Eriksen penalty in the first half, with Harry Maguire also sent off Gareth Southgate's side before half-time for receiving two yellow cards. Though there were few complaints about the nature of Maguire's dismissal, a string of bizarre decisions by Spanish referee Jesus Gil Manzano clearly frustrated England's players as the game progressed. After Jordan Henderson was booked for dissent shortly before full-time, James was shown a red card after a brief exchange with when the game had ended.
