

As Manchester United look to secure victory over West Ham United in tonight's Premier League clash, in what will be their fifth straight win, we've taken a trip back in time to remember the last time a Red Devils side achieved the feat.
With Michael Carrick's side currently flying, having secured four wins in his only four games since taking caretaker charge — including surprise results over title challengers Man City and Arsenal — it's hard to believe how long it's been since Man United won five in a row.

Extra attention has been brought to the issue of winning five straight matches this season, thanks to a social media challenge from football influencer The United Strand, real name Frank Ilet, who — back in October 2024 — challenged himself to not cut his hair until the Red Devils achieved the feat.
While Ilet has been waiting almost 500 days for a haircut, it's been even longer since Man United actually won five in a row.
As of this month, it has been almost exactly two full years since the Red Devils did it.
Back in February 2025, Erik ten Hag led United to an FA Cup win over Newport County, followed by league triumphs over Wolves, West Ham Aston Villa, and finally Luton Town.
