Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly prepared to use any method possible to force Kylian Mbappé out of the club.
Mbappé has already told the club that he has no plans to extend his stay beyond the end of current deal, which runs out at the end of the season, but will not seek a move away this summer.
Le Parisien have reported that PSG are now becoming increasingly fed up with the forward's stance but are well aware that they could lose out on a huge transfer fee if they allowed him to walk away for nothing.
Real Madrid have been the long-time favourites to sign the 24-year-old and came close to joining in 2022, only to turn down Los Blancos at the eleventh hour.
The forward turned down PSG's proposal of extending his deal that summer and in a recent interview, reiterated that he had never told the club he wanted to leave immediately after informing them of his decision not to sign a contract beyond 2024.
Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United have also been linked, but it's unlikely any of them would be willing to agree to his substantial wage demands.
Further reports claim that the Frenchman is even willing to spend an entire season being benched if it means he gets his own way.
RMC journalist Daniel Riolo said: "Mbappé will be at PSG next season.
"Even if they [the PSG board] see this through to the end and bench him, Mbappé stays at PSG. He is ready to accept this situation.
"How did we come to this contractual situation? What is the way out? There is none. The only way for PSG is to play tough and tell Mbappé that, because he didn't renew, he will be benched all season."
