Oh this, it’s just a stuntman backflipping over a speeding Formula E car

The first time it's ever been attempted.

Tom Victor

We would say ‘don’t try this at home’, but we’re confident enough that you don’t have a Formula E car or a racetrack at home.

You might remember Damien Walters. He’s the guy who did a bungee jump from a crane without a harness. Yeah, that guy.

Somehow his latest stunt is even more likely to make you sh*t yourself just watching, as Walters manages to carry out a backflip over a speeding Formula E car.

This is the first time anyone has attempted this.

“But wait,” we hear you ask, “wouldn’t be have to pull that off while not even looking at the car speeding towards him?” Yes. yes he would.

Here it is from another angle:

Launched ahead of this weekend’s Paris ePrix, the film of Walters’ stunt is one of those things that you’ll watch through your fingers even when you know what happens next.

To give an idea of the task facing him, it’s worth knowing Formula E cars can reach speeds of 140mph.

You can certainly see why the Brit earned parts as Daniel Craig’s stunt double for Skyfall and Michael Fassbender’s double for Assassin’s Creed.
