Nottingham Forest sack Mark Warburton, David Weir and Sporting Director Frank McParland

They didn't even last a year.

Nottingham Forest this morning announced that "that the contracts of Mark Warburton and David Weir have been terminated with immediate effect." The managerial duo both came from Rangers, but only lasted 9 months at Forest. Sporting Director Frank McParland has also left the club. Forest currently sit 14th in the Championship, but lost to Sunderland at home yesterday; a result that would convince most owners to sack their manager given Sunderland's current plight. https://twitter.com/richard_conway/status/947405716238807040 Warburton, who enjoyed success in the Championship during his spell at Brentford, was appointed on a two-and-a-half-year contract last March, and his arrival helped the Trees escape relegation from the Championship last season. All three departing men were hired towards the end of the old regime, when the club was owned by Fawaz Al Hasawi, before Greek shipping magnate Evangelos Marinakis took over in May. Academy coach Gary Brazil will take over as caretaker manager until a new permanent manager is found, and Brazil will likely be in charge for Forest's FA Cup clash next weekend against Arsenal when Forest will hope the magic of the cup reignites their season.
