But things aren't going so well for Cleveland's other major representatives, the NFL's Browns.
They have long been one of the most widely mocked teams in the league, and came into this weekend's action as the only team in the NFL without a win this season.
So when the New York Jets rolled into town on Sunday, the fans did everything they could to recapture the spirit of their early incarnations, when they claimed eight league titles in their first two decades of existence.
But unfortunately, Cleveland's haplessness extends to the stands, it would seem.
Supporters in the east end of the stadium tried to raise a banner celebrating their position in the Browns' infamous 'Dawg Pound' - the section for the most hardcore fans.
Unfortunately, in all the excitement, they acted a bit too much like the players they were cheering for and got their positioning all wrong. Which led to this:
