A new football club have entered talks to sign Liverpool's Egyptian superstar Mohamed Salah, according to Foot Mercato reporter Santi Aouna.
The news comes just months on from Salah's decision to sign a new contract at Anfield, following his key role in securing the 2024/25 Premier League title, the club's first under manager Arne Slot.

In the time since Salah penned that new deal things have begun to slightly unravel at Liverpool.
The Reds now find themselves well out of this season's title race, and battling hard in order to secure Champions League qualification.
Salah's future has been of much debate for the duration of what has been a difficult campaign for the club legend, in which he has scored just 4 goals in 17 Premier League appearances.
Those questions were exacerbated by a public falling out between Salah and Slot towards the end of 2025, in which the winger said he felt his manager had "thrown him under the bus."
In response, Salah was removed from the Liverpool squad for the club's next fixture.
Although the dispute has now been well resolved, there are still some expectations that Salah will depart Anfield at the end of the season, and it now appears that the first negotiations regarding that exit have now begun.
According to Aouna's report, Saudi outfit Al-Ittihad have opened talks with Salah's representatives over a summer deal.
Al-Ittihad are one of the biggest clubs in the Saudi Pro League, and will be keen to secure the signature of a new high profile player following the departure of Karim Benzema to Al-Hilal in January.
It now remains to be seen how those talks progress between now and the end of the season.
