The long-awaited boxing bout between the generation's two most successful British fighters, Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury, may finally be set to take place later this year, according to streaming giants Netflix.
Fury made his return to the ring on Saturday night, securing an impressive points victory over Arslanbek Makhmudov at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, a fight that Joshua watched from ringside.
Immediately after learning his victory was secure, Fury made towards Joshua, before telling the London crowd: "Next, I want to give you the fight you've all been waiting for.
"I want you, AJ, Anthony Joshua. Let's give the fight fans what they want - the Battle of Britain. I challenge you Anthony Joshua to fight me, the Gypsy King, next. Do you accept my challenge?"
Joshua could then be heard responding: "I've never had no problem getting in a ring with you, he replied.
"I punched you up when we were kids and, after watching you tonight, I'll punch you up again.
"With all due respect, tonight is your night and you know I'll be across that ring from you in due time.
"You ain't going to tell me what to do. I've been chasing you for the last 10 years. When you're ready, you come and see me and tell me your terms and conditions and I'll have you in the ring when I'm ready.
"I'm the boss, you work for me. I'm the landlord. Remember that. You work for me."
Despite comments seemingly implying that — while a fight is certainly a possibility — nothing concrete has been agreed between the two men, Netflix took to social media themselves to announce the opposite, claiming that a match had been agreed and that a date is in place.

Taking to social media platform X, Netflix's official account wrote: "It's happening."
Adding: "Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua. This autumn from the UK. LIVE only on Netflix."
It now remians to be seen if negotiations between the Joshua and Fury camps can progress with enough speed to meet the deadline suggested by Netflix.
