It took several minutes to break up the feuding parties and restore some fragile sense of order.
McGregor, Nurmagomedov and three of his team were escorted away by security guards and police officers. Dillon Danis was also offered extra protection as he was brought from the fight arena.
Following the fight, Nurmagomedov apologised to the UFC, Nevada State Athletic Commission and fans but did not extend one to McGregor.
Abubakar Nurmagomedov went on social media, soon after, to show what he claimed to be damage he took from eating a left hook from McGregor.
We are not expecting charges to be filed over this. McGregor, himself, told police he was not interested in filing charges against the three of Nurmagomedov's entourage that were arrested for the ugly brawl.
