It seems like everyone's trying to get on the Pokemon Go hype train this week.

The augmented reality mobile game only officially launched in the UK yesterday, but players across the Atlantic have been able to play for a little longer. Since the European launch, footballers such as Antoine Griezmann and the Borussia Dortmund first team have got involved. https://twitter.com/AntoGriezmann/status/753669347411976192

While US Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is one of the highest-profile politicians to jump on the trend.

Canadian internationals David Edgar and Marcel de Jong have moved to British Columbia, and rather than unveiling the new additions in the usual way, the Caps have opted to use the brief window to get inventive. https://twitter.com/WhitecapsFC/status/753069274344808448 Former Newcastle United defender Edgar and his international team-mate were both found on grass, which might not bode too well given that the club plays its home games on artificial turf. Still, given the impact the game has on fitness levels, we wouldn't be surprised to see the Canadian team take over some Pokegyms in the Vancouver area soon. Perhaps they're hoping their wild David Edgar can eventually evolve into Edgar Davids. thumbnail_SNAPCHATUK
