Listen to this brilliant Middlesbrough fans’ football chant about David Cameron, pigs and steel workers

Very clever!

Ben Kenyon

Whoever said football and politics don’t mix, clearly hasn’t seen this from Middlesbrough fans.

Yes footy and politicians don’t mix…like all those times David Cameron forgot who he supported (although we suspect it was West Ham after all).

But supporters are often at their best when making wry observations or political statements – and fans of the Boro are up there with the best of them.

Who could forget the days when fans on the Riverside sang (hilariously, but quite poignantly) ‘There’s only one Job on Teeside’ about former star Joseph Desire Job?

It seems the situation in the North-East isn’t getting any better, with locals forced to call on the government to step in and save steelworks jobs in the region like they did with the banking sector.

Boro fans have joined in and managed to come up with this classic chant marrying the Prime Minister, those pig allegations and the Save Our Steel campaign.

10 out of 10.

Just in case you couldn’t make out the words, here they are:

“Cameron wherever you may be, you’re not fit to run our country. You sh*gged a pig, you made it squeal … get off you arse and save our steel.”
