Despite spending more than £400 million on new acquisitions last summer, Liverpool's 2025/26 campaign has not gone to plan.
Not only have the Reds failed to make a serious attempt at defending their Premier League title win, but Arne Slot's side now face a serious challenge to simply qualify for next season's Champions League.
As a result, some of Liverpool's most important players could be put on the market to be sold this summer, as the club aim to rebuild.

One such player who has struggled to find top form this term, despite starring in the 2024/25 title-winning campaign, is Argentine midfielder Alexis Mac Allister.
Should Mac Allister be allowed to depart from Anfield this summer, Manchester United would be one of the clubs interested in acquiring his services, according to The Mirror.
If Man United are able to secure a deal, the 27-year-old would become the first player to transfer between the Red Devils and Liverpool since 1964, setting a historic new precedent for English football's two biggest clubs.
Mac Allister is one of the best known midfield players in the Premier League, having made a name for himself at Brighton, before winning the 2022 World Cup with Argentina.
He has played for Liverpool since, making 132 appearances and scoring 17 goals.
