Liam Gallagher, for anyone wondering, has offered his take on Man City’s post derby celebrations

As you were

Unless you’ve been under a rock for the last couple of days, you’ll know that Manchester City won the eagerly anticipated Manchester Derby on Sunday afternoon.

In the time since, there’s been plenty said and written about the game and – more recently – what exactly went on when the players and staff made their way to the changing rooms.

You’ll have seen the reports by now, many of which claim that Jose Mourinho took exception to the celebrations from City’s players.

Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, Pep Guardiola has denied claims that his players went over the top. Having made clear that he encouraged them to celebrate their victory, the City boss explained that this was done within the four walls of Old Trafford’s away dressing room.

Liam Gallagher, as you might expect, was slightly more blunt when it came to offering his take on the matter…

In a tweet sent on Tuesday afternoon, the former Oasis frontman explained that those who felt City’s players shouldn’t have celebrated following their win should ‘shut the f**k up’. As if his point hadn’t already been made, he followed this by labelling them ‘beige c****’, which, as we all know, are the worst kind of c****.

As you were indeed, Liam.
